Bletchingdon Motavation Results

Another excellent ERR turnout at a rather breezy (and undulating as ever) Bletchingdon. Well done to Kate A and Nadine for their category placings, and thanks to Ted and Garry for marshaling.

Good to see so many ERR folk at this thoroughly friendly and pleasant event, which may also be the shortest we've ever had in the Club Championship. No jokers played, as far as I know...

Charlton Motavation Results

As one or two people may have said, it was great to be back doing the Charlton Motavation for the first time in 3 years. Particular congratulations to Kate A and Nadine for winning their categories, and to Kate W for finishing 3rd in hers, which isn't really hers, if you see what I mean.

White Horse Half Marathon Results

Rather more ERRs on the entry list than there were on the course, for various reasons, but well done to all those who enjoyed pretty near perfect conditions in 'The Vale'. Well done to the Kates for winning their categories, and for setting new club records for their categories, as well as Kate A's PB. The Club Championship tables have now been updated. Neil and Nadine weren't wearing club colours so the jobsworth rule is applied, i.e. no Club Champs points. Any jokers played?

A glorious day for the always challenging Banbury 15 miles. Well done to Ros for winning her category, as well as Kate and, er, me for being placed in ours, although they didn't give out prizes that far down. No jokers that I know of, and the club champs scores have now been updated.

Henley Cross Country Results

Well done and thank you to the select few ERR folk who made it to Henley for the final round of the season. A particular well done to Zachary Green for winning the U9s category over the season, as well as Kate Allred, whose LV45 victory on the day propelled her to 2nd in the season's overall standings, and, er, me for a 3rd place in the season's MV50 standings. Overall, the ERR Ladies A team finished 7th in Division 1 for the season, so hopefully good enough to stay there for next season, while the ERR men's A team were 4th in Division 2, and won't be going anywhere. Anyway, here are the ERR results on the day:

January 2022 Parkrun Month Standings

Here are the final standings, after the extra week on March 26th. For reasons of space, only people's best times are shown, but the more detailed results are available if you're interested. If your time isn't there, please let me know, although you could help matters considerably by updating your parkrun profile to include 'Eynsham Roadrunners' as your club. That way your result will show in the weekly consolidated club results.

Hooky Christmas Canter Results

Fun, despite the mud, hills and the fog which added to the ever-present threat of getting lost. Anyway, well done to Kates A and W for their category wins, and to Pete and, er, me for their 2nd places, thereby earning slightly inferior christmas puddings. Remember that jokers were played here by default, if not played earlier in the season. The final Club Champs scores have now been updated, so you can see how you fared in this longest of competitions.

ERR XC Handicap Competition 2021/22 Scores

Here are the final scores after round 4. I would just like to add a case for the defence, in that any handicap competition depends not only on your performances this year, but how you were doing when the handicaps were set, and 2 years ago I was rubbish. Anyway, I'm highly unlikely to win it again.

Explanatory Blurb: Points are awarded to show the person who has improved the most in percentage terms against their 'base' pace, so 50 are awarded to the most improved, then down from there to the least improved person on the day. Base pace is calculated via a weighted average of a runner's pace achieved in the 2019/20 season, with the weights reflecting the relative difficulty of the courses involved. If you didn't run in 2019/20 then an arbitrary base figure is assigned, but the usual disclaimer applies in that you are unlikely to win in these circumstances, as it's likely to mean you were given a false base figure. As ever, think of it as setting a mark for next year.  ...
