As usual, hot and hilly at Hornton and, as with last year, a healthy number of prizes for the ERR competitors. Well done to Bob Storey of Evesham, for winning both the MV40 and MV50 titles - this was soon corrected, although his name (and club) never was. Congratulations also to Katherine and Kate for winning their categories, as well as Marks Baker and Tyrrell, along with Bob, sorry Robert, took the men's team prize. As we left, the ladies' team title hadn't been awarded, but I don't think that went to ERR. No jokers played that I know of, but let me know if I missed any. Also, Richard wasn't mentioned in the results, but he was certainly there, so I've added him to ours and hopefully he will be added to the official set.

Despite 20 or so being absent due to 3 Peaks commitments, 25 ERR folk still braved the heat to turn out at Combe. Well done to Hannah and Kates A and W for winning their categories, as well as Dan for finishing 2nd in his (he was spotted at the foot of Snowdon the following evening, having taken part in a race up and down that particular mountain). A small but perfectly formed group of Eynsham runners made the journey into Gloucestershire for this scenic, and rather warm, race. With only 2 ERR men present, it was clearly a day for jokers, if not for PBs. Congratulations to Katherine for winning her category (the prize for which just about stretched to 2 drinks in a Cotswold pub on the way home), and for Kate for missing out on hers by a mere 8 seconds.

Kiri's reaction to winning the famous trophy reminded us what it is all about, so congratulations to her, and all the other category winners, shown in italics below. Special mentions should also go to Diane Hubbert and Jane Garton for their excellent improvements on their handicap times. Unfortunately for them, they happened to be in the same category as the overall winner. If there is a gap in the handicap column for you, it means I didn't have any race results to use to calculate a handicap time (the maximum distance I use in previous races is 10k). A fairly small ERR contingent for the hot and by all accounts hilly Buckingham Half, but some outstanding performances nonetheless. What may well be a record ERR turnout of 47 runners took to the roads around Charlton over a hastily revised, and extended, course. It was great to see so many there, including a few debutants, and the return of Mr Tyrrell to Eynsham colours. Particular congratulations to those who won category prizes in what was a competitive field, as well as the ERR men, who were the 2nd place team on the night (the first 6 home count towards this). Kate A and Marina both played their jokers. Let me know if anyone else did likewise. Also, please bear in mind that your position across the finish line counts for Club Championship purposes, despite the odd 'anomaly' in the chip timing order.

A fine ERR turnout at the White Horse Half Marathon, with some excellent performances in the favourable conditions. Well done to Sean for leading us home in a PB time, to Liz for finishing 2nd lady overall, to Kate W for winning her category (naturally), to Richard for his PB (by 1 second, but still counts), and to Toby for his debut at the distance. There were also some team honours, although these were complicated by the fact that Robert apparently didn't declare his club as Eynsham but did tick the County Championship box. So, the ERR men were 3rd team overall but 2nd in the County Championship, while the ERR ladies team of Liz, Kate and Marie were 2nd overall and in the County Championship. No jokers were played that I know of, but let me know if there were any other PBs.
