Swindon Cross Country Results

Great to see so many ERRs enjoying the hills, wind, rain and cold at Swindon (actually, it was a good atmosphere throughout). Have been waiting for the full team standings to be updated, but it seems the league have 'improved' their results system, so we may be waiting a while. The ERR men were 8th on the day, and the ladies 6th. ...

Adderbury Cross Country Results

Let's start with the positives: welcome to new juniors Max and Alex Harvey, who put in excellent debut performances in their categories. Well done to Liz for finishing 2nd VL35 overall, and 1st lady veteran in the County Championships, and for finishing 3rd county team overall alongside Laura and Becky. Even better, Liz, Laura and Tess were the first veteran county team (after a bit of a stewards' enquiry). ...

Harcourt Hill Parkrun Results

Good to see so many ERRs at Harcourt Hill for the final Club Championship event of 2019, even Robert, who broke the club V50 parkrun record on his debut (not that I'm bitter). Also there were Nick Sheard and Ian Hembrow, who weren't in club colours, and Kate Allred and Ted, who weren't in the results. Any issues or missed jokers with any of these results, please let me know.

Cirencester Cross Country Results

The course at Cirencester was as challenging and scenic as ever, and not quite as muddy as feared. We welcomed Caroline for her cross country debut (a nice gentle introduction), and whilst Mark Baker was ill, we at least had Keith back as a like for like replacement. What with Mark's absence, along with other missing speedsters, even the welcome return of Robert couldn't prevent the men from finishing 1 place lower than last time, so at least there's nowhere lower to go. Basically we need all our fastest runners (and everyone else, for that matter) to be taking part from now to the end of the season if we are to avoid the dreaded drop. The ERR ladies performed creditably, even if Liz did go the wrong way briefly, and are still in 3rd place in Division 1 for the season overall.   Results:   U9s 35 Javier Hardwick   Mens

ERR Breakfast Run Results

Thanks to Kate for organising this, as well as everyone else who marshalled or recorded times. Update (23/11): Dafydd played his joker, so the scores have been updated.

Bicester Cross Country Results

To start with the positives, well done to the ERR ladies, with the familiar trio of Liz, Kate and Laura propelling the A team to 2nd place in Division 1, backed up by a fine performance by Becky and a strong cross country debut by Amanda. A rather depleted men's team did their best but finished a lowly 9th in Division 1 on the day. Still, there's plenty of time to turn it around in the rest of the season...

Ascott 10k Results

The previous day's rain had added ponds to the list of obstacles for the select band of ERRs who ran this testing but scenic course. Well done to Becky for making such a strong debut for the year, to Jacky for winning her category, and to Tom for leading us home despite not having anything like the right footwear.

Woodstock 12 Results

A similar tale to the Cotswold Classic, with Robert and Tom battling it out at the front, although a different finishing order this week, followed some distance back by another healthy turnout of ERRs at what is always a challenging course. Another fantastic performance by Kate A to finish 1st lady overall and further boost her Grand Prix chances. Well done also to Jacky and Kate W for winning their categories. Adam played his joker, but that's the only one I know of.
