Triathlon News and Results

Over the last few months it has been quite amusing to watch the club’s Laurel and Hardy, i.e. Nik and Dan, (Dan and Nik), vying for the moral high ground over the sticky subject of whether Nik should have joined Dan and entered the Vetruvian as well.
Dan has been accusing Nik, (in a light hearted fashion) of ducking out and avoiding a real challenge, (and potentially wishing he’d done the same?), whilst Nik has been confidentially stating that he is comfortable with his decision and “there’s no way I’m need to race that far!”
In Nik’s defence he entered the Newbury Sprint Tri 2009 (300 swim/20k cycle/5k run), so giving himself a rock solid excuse for not being available for the longer event and finished 32nd overall! (Graham couldn’t quite believe this and analysed the results more closely to be sure)
Despite Dan’s comment “call that a triathlon!”, here are Nik’s results, (though he is disappointed as he was slower than last year).
