Ridgeway Relay Results

The 2014 Eynsham results for this annual epic were our best ever, and by some way.

For the first time, we fielded a veterans’ team, Eynsham Old Gits (to use Derek’s phrase), who finished a very creditable 31st out of the 47 teams who finished, in a time of 12:52:49.

The B team finished 25th, in a time of 12:05:16, beating our previous B team record by 13 minutes.

The A team finished a magnificent 3rd place, in 9:58:37, fully 30 minutes better than last year’s club record, despite the team manager ignoring his own advice and going the wrong way at one point (but only briefly). This also put us ahead of the likes of such heavyweights as Oxford City, Newbury and Reading.

In fact, another club who shall be nameless (but think of them as Alchester) even accused us of bringing in ringers – jealousy is such a terrible thing…
