Newbury 10k Results
A bit of a joker-fest for the few ERR people who survived the cut to compete on what turned out to be a partly off-road course of about 10.2k. Well done to Kate and Katherine for their category prizes.

Newbury 10k
I work near Newbury and sometimes run the first 4k of the course before work, so was prepared for the long uphill section at the start. However, the rest of the race was tougher than I expected due to a very quick descent and then most of the rest of the race being off road. Everyone I spoke to after the race had enjoyed it as the route had plenty of interest as we passed through Newbury twice and ran through fields and on country lanes and tow paths. It felt like a much bigger race than it was with excellent support through Newbury town centre and the presentation of medals by the Mayor.
A smaller than usual team from Eynsham turned out due to the race being a sell out and as a result half of us decided to play our jokers. Not a course to run a PB but we all did well and congratuliations go to Kate and Katherine for wining their categories and to Kate and Lesley for their 4th and 5th postions respectively in the overall ladies competition.
