Harwell Cross Country Results
A massive well done to everyone who competed in the final cross country of the season at Harwell. Hannah went one better than ever before by outsprinting Witney’s Frankie Snare to finish second in the women’s race, and delighting her band of supporters in the home straight (fortunately, it didn’t ‘kick off’ between us and the Witney fans). This also meant that she won the Senior Ladies’ title for the season as a whole. A strong debut from Anna, and excellent 3rd ERR place from Tess helped the ERR ladies to finish 5th in Division 2 on the day, and 6th for the season, which should hopefully mean they retain their Division 2 status for next season.
The ERR men also excelled themselves by finishing 3rd in Division 1 on the day, and a strong 5th for the season. Mark Baker also improved on his previous best by finishing 16th, and Chris shrugged off the fact that he had run 31 miles the day before to make the A team.
As I said, this was a fantastic effort by all concerned. I just wonder what Ben is going to do for the next 8 months…
