Club Race

On February 15^th, 2020 PC (pre-Covid) me signed up for the Witney Roadrunners 10 mile Cotswold Classic race.

The Keeleys were on holiday so Hugh elected to time keep to avoid running the hills! 

On a warm, slightly damp Thursday evening towards the end of June, around 40 Eynsham Roadrunners climbed the hills to the chalet in the centre of the wonderful surrounds of Wytham Woods, to take part in the club's own Motavation 4 mile race (as the real thing, due to Covid, had to be called off).

Back in the day...

My house in Yarnton to the main Woodstock Blenheim gates measures slightly over 5km, so an obvious choice for this out & back 10km.

I am really grateful for the different opportunities ERR have given us to challenge ourselves during the ups and downs of the past 12 months.

I have to confess that I was nervous about this run.  I’ve been running a lot lately – about four times a week but mainly on the flat and not for much more than 3-6 miles in length. 

EA XC Challenge (November 2020)

Growing up in Leeds in the 70s and 80s, school cross country races were a winter Wednesday afternoon rite of passage.

Having just acquired a TomTom (thanks Becky) and having worked out how to operate it, I have become a little bit more competitive with myself, trying to achieve a bit more each time, not sure how much longer that will last.
