Hornton Classic 6 review by Andy Egan

An intrepid, some might say slightly mad, bunch of 11 Eynsham Roadrunners made their way to Hornton on 16 July in balmy 27C heat for the return of this 6 mile Saturday evening road race.

26 club members took part, a cracking turnout for this 5pm Saturday local gem of a race in Cumnor.

Wytham woods run is a tough race, do not expect to do a 10k PB, I would say add a good 6mm on top of your normal flat 10k road.

A debut performance over a 2mi trip and probably safe to say my last. 

After a lot of uncertainty about how the race season would be affected due to the omicron strain at the end of 2021 it was the case of just enter anything and see what happens.

3 Tips from the Banbury 15

The weather was glorious on Sunday 20 March when 10 of us Eynsham Roadrunners took part in the Banbury 15 mile road race. 

A belated report on round 4 of the Oxon Cross Country League from February 6^th (sorry!)

I picked Tara up at a very reasonable time (09.45) as the race didn’t start until 11.00!
