Having been a club member since around 2010, I think this might be the first time I’ve won the club wine draw, so that was a nice surprise to be able to stock my cabinet for guests.
Extraneous circumstances beyond my control have played their part in delivering this in a timely fashion. Apologies to all and sundry. I would like to say it's been worth the wait... hmm, don't hold your breath.
...It was a nice early start, on Sunday 7th of April, but sky didn’t look forgiving and the weather report suggested up to 49 mph wind. I was pretty nervous as my partner drove us in to Grove.
