How To Pay Your Membership
Membership fees
The AGM sets the membership fees annually in January. Members are asked to renew their membership in February – you will receive a reminder from the Treasurer.
For new members who wish to compete, as well as the annual membership fee there is a one-off joining fee.** This entitles you to a club vest – you can get this from Nick Hardwick, using the club shop voucher in your electronic welcome pack. Please note that the joining fee is per individual.
It is now split into a club fee and, if you want to compete first claim for ERR, you then add the EA Registration fee. Our Membership Secretary processes the EA registration for all ERR competing members.
Non EA registered members are either second claim, non-competing runners or social members (i.e. not runners).
Who Pays What
Everyone pays the Club Fee set at £5 for 2024.
There is a family rate of £10 see T&C’s below*.
The EA Fee saves you money on most race entry fees, but you are normally expected to run in your club colours.
This rose to £19 in April 2024, but the increase is being absorbed by the club so the cost to members remains £17.
Juniors (as at 1st April)
Under 11’s do not need to register with EA
Over 11 register with EA only if want to compete as an Eynsham first claim in the u13 league or above
Over 18 are seniors
(1st April date for age calculation may be different for different events, the event drives the need to register)
Seniors
Only EA register with us only if want to compete for Eynsham as your first claim club.
EA registration means you don’t pay a non-affiliated fee for an UK Athletics approved event, if one is charged.
The 2024 annual membership fees are:
Membership | One-off Joining Fee ** | |
Club Fee | £5.00 | If non-competing member wants a club vest £22
Or £18.50 for Juniors |
Competing Adults | add £17, so £22 | £22 |
Juniors | add £17, so £22 | £18.50 |
Family Membership* | £10 plus £17 for anyone requiring EA membership | Individual joining fees as above, if applicable |
* Family Membership covers up to 2 adults and 3 children under 18 – when a child turns 18, the adult rate applies from the next AGM, when the annual fees are agreed.
** The joining fee may be revised if kit costs rise significantly. Non-competing new members are not obliged to have a club vest, in which case they just pay the club fee of £5.
***You Can Run graduates have a free social membership for the year, starting when they pass the course and complete the application form.
