For once, a sporting contest that lived up to the hype, as Jane and Tara battled it out for the Short League title and came around the final corner together. After a committed final sprint, Jane prevailed by a few metres, but Tara had the consolation of a new PB.
Mark Baker’s excellent 9th place in a high quality field was enough to secure him the men’s Short League title for the year, whilst there were also PBs for Howard, Alison, John and Basia. For those who didn’t know, your joker is automatically played in the last race of the season (i.e. this one) if it hasn’t already been played.
